A DC-DC converter is an electronic device that changes one DC (direct current) voltage level into another.
In simple terms, it takes power from a source—like a battery or power supply—and adjusts it to the voltage required by your components.

In our irrigation system, a DC-DC converter is used to:
Power the Single Board Computer (which runs on 5V) and ensure stable voltage for sensors or control circuits

This helps protect controller electronics and keeps everything running reliably.
